Rainbow Babies and Kids has a number of regular social groups to chose from, across Sydney and beyond.

Same-Sex Supported Playgroup through Playgroup NSW
This is an open playgroup for all same-sex parents. It is the first of its kind supported by Playgroup NSW, who is committed to supporting culturally diverse families who wish to meet in a comfortable, inclusive environment.

If you join now, you will receive the annual Playgroup Australia Membership for free. There are no waiting lists and no need to call for a booking, just come down for a visit!

What is a Playgroup?
Playgroup is an informal session where parents, carers, babies and children aged 0 to school age come together in a relaxed and friendly environment. The group provides toys and equipment and the format is a mix of free play and structured activities.

• Playgroup gives children an opportunity to have fun, make new friends and develop new skills through informal play
• Playgroup provides parents and carers with an opportunity to meet other parents and carers, make friends and share ideas and experiences
• Playgroup also allows parents and carers to spend quality time with their children, encouraging, helping or simply playing with their children
• Playgroups are not-for-profit and run by, and for the parents who attend.

When: Every Thursday 10.00 – Noon

Rainbow Babies Tuesday Walking Group
Gay parenting and fitness too! Supporting all members of the LGBTI community.

We meet first for playtime from 9am -11am and our kids range in age from 5wks up. We are set up like any day-care facility and they have paint, craft materials, paper, a store room full of toys, fenced verandah for the sand pit and water play, carpeted room with blackboard, little tables and chairs, couches for us etc. The best part is we can use it all for free.

After playtime we walk down the hill to a local Cafe to grab some lunch. Then, weather permitting, take a gentle stroll along the Cooks River visit the playgrounds and head home around 2pm.

Central Coast Rainbow Babies
We are pleased to let everyone know that the Central Coast Rainbow Babies has started up again with a whole new group of great women, who are spread from the Central Coast up to Newcastle. We are now gathering weekly and have regular monthly events for the whole family that alternate between the Central Coast and Newcastle.

We are now meeting monthly for a picnic. Bring a blanket and picnic and sun protection.

Northern Beaches Rainbow Babies is for all gay parents / parents to be and kids of any age. Please come along and join us for our casual meet ups, feel free to bring along family and friends. All welcome.
